National Youth Service Corps, NYSC 2017 Batch “B” Stream II Orientation Course Schedule Now Available – See Details

This is to inform the general public especial ly Prospective Corps Members that the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC 2017 Batch “B” Stream II Orientation Course Schedule is now available Nationwide. The Management of the Scheme has scheduled the 2017  Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation course to commence from 16th January and ends on 5th February 2018 Nationwide. All PCMs are to proceed to their Orientation camps at the camp addresses indicated in their call-up letters. The NYSC 2017 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course is scheduled to hold in Fifteen (15) NYSC Orientation Camps only, namely;Abia, Bauchi, Benue, Delta, Enugu, Sokoto, Jigawa, Kaduna, Katsina, Plateau, Lagos, Osun, Oyo, Rivers and the FCT. The Orientation Course is to commence as follows; (a) Commencement and Registration: Tuesday 16th January,2018 (b) Cut-off date for Registration: Midnight Wednesday,17th January, 2018 (c) Swearing-In Ceremony: Thursday, 18th January, 2018 (d) Closing: Monday, 5th February, 2018 All prospective corps members for the 2017 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course are advised to proceed to their respective Camps as stated on their Call-up letters. Foreign-trained graduates are to report to the Camp with their travelling Passport for Identification as well as their Certificate/Transcript for verification. In the event of any loss of Call-up Letter, the Corps member who collected the Call-up letter from his/her Institution is advised to obtain Police Report and Sworn Court Affidavit and thereafter,report to the Institution of graduation for further necessary action. Those who initially printed their Call-up Letters on-line can re-print the Call-up Letters as many times as they want in the case of loss. Prospective Corps Members are to note that their states of deployment may differ from their orientation camp venue,hence; they must take careful note of their respective orientation camp venue before proceeding to camp. REQUIREMENT FOR REGISTRATION: (a) Original Call-up Letter or Call-up Letter printed on-line (b) Statement of Result endorsed by authorized officer with authentic signature. The management of the Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo (FCES) in affiliation with University of Ibadan (UI) has released the fresh students registration procedure for the 2017/2018 academic session. FCE (SPECIAL) OYO – UI FRESH STUDENTS REGISTRATION PROCEDURE. The College resumes for academic activities for ALL undergraduate students (Freshers and Stalites) on Monday, 8th January, 2018. Fresh Students upon receiving notice of admission are to visit fcesuidegree.com and click on payment link to pay Acceptance Fee of Twenty-five Thousand naira (N25,000.00) only and generate online payment receipt. The receipt generated in 2 above will be presented at the Accounts Section of the Directorate (DIDDIP) and be exchanged for College receipt. (Candidates are advised to make photocopy of the online receipt for Acceptance fee). with the College receipt freshers are to present themselves for screening at the DIDDIP Registry. Those who are successfully screened will be issued with Authority to Pay and Payment PIN. Documents to be presented for screening include: Original and verified copied of UTME result slip SSCE results at the College NRCD and ICT Units of the College. Original and two photocopies each of all credentials uploaded for pre-admission screening (SSCE & GCE, NCE, etc) Any other credential outside the one claimed online will NOT be accepted. Original and two copies of College receipt for N25,000 Acceptance fee 8 copies of recent colour-print passport photographs. Letter of Attestation (on letter headed paper) from two reputable persons certifying to the moral conduct of the candidate. Local Government Identification Letter. National Universities Commission, NUC Approves LASU Open and Distance Learning and Research Institute (ODLRI)

National Universities Commission, NUC approves Lagos State University (LASU) Open and Distance Learning and Research Institute (ODLRI). The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved by the establishment of the Lagos State University (LASU) Open and Distance Learning and Research Institute (ODLRI).  The approval came after a recent visit by the Universities Regulatory Body to assess the facilities of the Institute at the Main Campus of the University in Ojo. The ODLRI was established by the Prof. Olanrewaju Adigun Fagbohun-led administration to replace the now rested LASU External System (LASUES) and provide opportunity for millions of knowledge seekers who are desirous of pursuing their first degrees in the University, but are unable to gain admission into the regular programmes. The ODLRI Board is headed by renowned Academic and Former Executive Secretary, NUC, Dist. Prof. Peter Okebukola. The Vice Chancellor, Professor Fagbohun, while receiving the NUC team on their assessment visit, had assured the Executive Secretary, NUC, Professor Abubakar Rasheed that LASU-ODLRI will be the gold standard in the delivery of quality University education in Africa through the Open and Distance Learning delivery platform. The approved take-off programme is the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. LASU-ODLRI has several unique features. Course contents are pitched above NUC minimum standards with slant on 21-Century skills especially critical thinking, teamwork, entrepreneurship and digital literacy. It will be delivered on a learner-friendly, easy-to-navigate e-learning platform with 24-hour learner support. It will apply global best practices in Open and Distance learning delivery.
