The Management of Federal University Wukari (FUWUKARI) invites candidates who have chosen the university as their FIRST and SECOND CHOICES in UTME and DIRECT ENTRY and scored the required minimum national cut-off point of 180 and above for the 2017 UTME and merit and above for Direct Entry to the POST-UTME/DE screening. HOW TO APPLY FOR FEDERAL UNIVERSITY WUKARI ADMISSION SCREENING. CLICK HERE TO START THE PROCESS. Type in your JAMB Registration Number and SURNAME in the boxes provided. Carefully type in your JAMB Registration Number as any error committed will not allow your details to be displayed. Thereafter, Actual Registration fee for each candidate is N2, 500 only excluding bank charges. UTME candidates should click on the Get Details button for your JAMB information; DE candidates should click OK button on the dialog box displayed and enter their names; and Click on Make Payment link to go to WEBPAY page. Note: UTME Candidates who are qualified for the courses originally chosen can proceed to make payment by supplying the required information. GENERAL INFORMATION Candidates MUST meet the minimum UTME scores of 180, have the right UTME subject combinations as prescribed in the JAMB Brochure and the requisite ‘O’ Level subjects at credit level. However, candidates who do not meet requirements for the courses they applied for (subject combination) will be allowed to change to any other course whose requirements are met by the candidates.  The change of course will attract a processing fee of N2,000 only payable at the screening venue. All candidates must possess a minimum of five ‘O’ Level credits including Mathematics and English Language at not more than two sittings in subjects relevant to their proposed courses. Only ‘O’ Level result print-out(s) downloaded directly from the website(s) of the national examining bodies (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) or photocopies of the original certificate(s) will be accepted for verification.  Candidates that already have their ‘O’ Level results MUST bring the results to the screening venue.  Failure to do so will result in disqualification of candidates. Candidates awaiting results will be allowed to participate in the Post-UTME but MUST submit such results not later than Friday 7th October, 2017. For submission of such results, candidates are to go back to their registration page on the University website to update their records or submit hard copies of the results to the Admission Officer of Federal University Wukari. Candidates that choose to submit their results online should print the acknowledgement slips after uploading. No candidate will be allowed to participate in the screening exercise without complying with the above requirements. Candidates are not allowed to bring GSM handsets or similar electronic gadgets into the screening hall. Such item(s) will be seized and will not be returned to the owners. Impersonation is a serious offence and anyone caught impersonating will be handed over to the law enforcement agents. Any registered candidate who fails to report for the screening exercise on the date and time specified on the print-out automatically loses his or her chance of being screened for admission. This means the home button is no longer present, which also means Touch ID is not available on the iPhone X. Be Yourself – 10 Things Your Body Language Says About You

The only language that’s seemingly universal, is body language. How we carry ourselves and behave around others physically can send out strong messages, both positive and negative. 1. Eye contact The video says: “How your eyes meet with other eyes normally is an indication of confidence, interest and honesty”. Good eye contact is crucial for interviews, it states. But when it comes to staring, things get a bit trickier. “Good, strong eye contact is one thing, a hard stare is another. This is not universal”. In areas such as Eastern Europe it’s fairly normal for people to stare at you, “they’re not being creepy or aggressive as people would assume in the UK and US”. 2. Male legs “For men, the classic manspreading shows the dominant person, someone who likes to be in charge: “the kind of people who give themselves ‘you da man’ pep talks in the mirror every morning”. “In most European and Asian countries, men often sit with the left leg crossed over the right with both pointing downwards. In the US this will probably indicate a closed nature but if one leg is horizontal with the ankle resting over the knee, then this is a confident and often argumentative pose”. 3. Female legs Most female leg poses involve the legs being together, the video says; spreading legs is rare because females’ pose has been influenced by clothing. Then there’s the “ankle lock,” where one foot wraps around the other and is a sign of repression or fear. 4. Playing with hair “Running your hands through your hair, especially taking hair away from your face, is often a sign of flirting and openness, the video says. Playing with hair is not always a good sign, though. Holding hair indicates awkwardness and nervousness”. 5. Drumming fingers Drumming your fingers on the desk is a “loud and obvious message” broadcasting your impatience or frustration. It’s also something you often don’t realise you’re doing. It can be a sign of nerves, the video explains, when “your body doesn’t know what to do with itself”. But it can also be used more deliberately, often by “More dominant people” to show they’re not happy with something. 6. Arms and hands “The most common body language signal of all is crossing your arms. You don’t need to be a psychologist to know what it means”. It’s probably one of the first major signals that children learn to read, the video says, and when parents cross their arms it often means the child is in trouble. Or, it simply means you’re cold. However, crossing your hands behind your back often means the opposite: “shyness turns to fearlessness, anger becomes calm”. Rubbing your palms together shows you’re expecting a good outcome, while holding your palms open and facing up makes you more trustworthy, since you’re showing you have nothing hidden in them. 7. Where you point your body When it comes to body language your chest, the video says, your chest is an arrow: where you point it indicates where your interest lies. In a meeting, it says, if someone’s chest is pointed away, they’re either not interested or they disagree with what’s being said. Same goes for a cinema date: “If you’re on a cinema date and they’re leaning on the far armrest there’s probably no Hollywood happy ending”. 8. Shaking hands A weak handshake, the video says, implies a “lack of determination and commitment”. Using both hands to cup a handshake from below shows “sincerity and a desire for closeness”, whereas cupping it from above shows dominance. 9. Lying Body language can help you get away with lies more easily. “If your eyes go up to the right, it implies we’re using our imagination, not your memory, so you’re making something up”. Another sign of lying is a dry mouth, so don’t lick your lips or swallow strangely. 10. Flirting We mimic each others’ body language to show we’re on the same wavelength, the video states, but just make sure you don’t go overboard or it’ll look very odd.

Cristiano Ronaldo put his domestic frustration behind him by scoring a brace on his Real Madrid return as Los Blancos began their quest for a third straight Champions League title with a routine 3-0 win over APOEL. The Portugal superstar is still serving the remainder of a five-match ban in Spain for pushing the referee in the Supercopa de Espana, but Ronaldo made up for lost time by once again proving the difference at the Santiago Bernabeu. Zinedine Zidane’s side, without Karim Benzema due to a thigh injury, have been held to a pair of draws in their two LaLiga fixtures at home this season, but Ronaldo ensured there was little chance of a repeat against the Cypriot outfit. The Champions League’s all-time leading goalscorer netted the first in the 12th minute and put the result beyond doubt with a second-half penalty, his 107th goal in the competition. Sergio Ramos’ exquisite bicycle kick capped an untroubled victory and eased any lingering tension from the league stalemates. Liverpool’s first game in the Champions League since 2014 ended in a draw with Sevilla at Anfield. In a repeat of the 2016 Europa League final, which the Spaniards won in Basel, Argentine midfielder Joaquin Correa cut through the Liverpool defence and curled home a cool finish to clinch a point. It had taken Sevilla just five minutes to take the lead as Wissam Ben Yedder tapped in from close range after home defender Dejan Lovren fell over while trying to clear the ball. Sadio Mane tested visiting goalkeeper Sergio Rico with a low drive as Liverpool looked to get back into the game, and they managed to do so when Roberto Firmino finished off a fine team move from close range. The five-time winners continued to push forward and were rewarded as Mohamed Salah’s strike looped in via a huge deflection off Simon Kjaer, but then Firmino, presented with the chance to give the home side breathing space, struck a penalty against the post. Georginio Wijnaldum came close with a low drive in the second half but the English side were punished for not adding to their advantage when they conceded with 18 minutes remaining. 18-Year-Old Nigerian girl bags PHD Scholarship at University of California

…MTN Nigeria buys copies of her first book Nkechi Chidi-Ogbolu is one of many Nigerians making our country proud. A graduate at 18, she has made history as the youngest person to graduate from Howard University, Washington, DC USA. Selected to begin a PHD programme at University of California, Davis in September 2017, Nkechi – one of the youngest PHD scholars in the world, is poised to kick off a new adventure. On her recent visit to Nigeria, Nkechi paid a visit to the MTN Headquarters in Ikoyi and was warmly received by the Corporate Relations Executive, Tobechukwu Okigbo and staff of MTN who had the privilege of receiving autographed copies of her book. At 18, the fun loving teenager who contemplated dropping out of college at one point, has already accomplished what many adults will struggle to achieve in their lifetime. This go-getter took the SATs and TOEFL at age 13 and received 5 scholarships offering admission to 5 different colleges in the United States. She chose Howard University. ‘I quit my oil and gas job of $6,000 per month for music’ – Mr Eazi

Mr Eazi is in the news again. This time he’s speaking on his life and hustle before music and acording to him, he quit a lucrative oil and gas job that paid hom about $6,000 per month to do music becuase he was not finding fulfilment in it. He was a guest on Beat FM’s Morning Rush today where he said, ‘after I came back from Ghana, I got a job in oil and gas in Port Harcourt that paid about six thousand dollars per month but I quit because I was not finding fulfillment in it. I mean it was the same thing everyday, the same routine over and over again. The decision to quit the job finally hit me when my boss’ wife left him even with all the money he had’. He continued to say, ‘after I left my job, I got my Masters degree and with all that qualification I started selling phones in computer village and everyone thought something was wrong with me. Even my mother started praying special prayers for me but my father didn’t add that final voice that would have decided my fate. My break finally came after I got an invite to do two shows in London that made me twelve thousand pounds which I used to shoot two videos. When I told my mother what I did with the money she stopped talking to me for about three weeks. I had to move in with a friend because even my relatives didn’t want me around but everything finally changed when I went back to London for shows that fetched me really good money’.

The 17th one day Governor of Lagos state, Zuffon Adebukola Noimot and members of her cabinet today paid a courtesy visit to Akinwunmi Ambode – the real Governor. Noimot, a student  from Awodi Ora Senior Secondary School, was the winner of the 2017 Spelling Bee Competition in June 2017. Speaking during the visit, Gov. Ambode said;  This is a significant day for Lagos State and it also signals what the future actually holds for Lagos State in which we have seated here, two female strong members of the new State Executive Council and we have a female Governor and a female Deputy Governor. It is also telling us a story about what the future of Lagos is all about that one day we would find seated here, not just a day governor, but for a period or tenure of four years, there would be a female Governor in this State.
