UNIJOS Admission Fraud Alert – Beware Of Fraudsters

This is to inform the general public especially candidates seeking admission into the University of Jos that the attention of  the Management has been drawn to fake social media accounts being operated especially on Facebook purporting to be that of the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Seddi Sebastian Maimako. The fake Facebook accounts usually solicit patronage from prospective candidates seeking admission, promising to assist them gain admission into the University. Management wishes to state that the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Seddi Sebastian Maimako does not currently operate a Facebook account either in his personal or official capacity. Management must also reiterate that there are laid down regulations, procedures and inbuilt mechanisms that guide the process of admission into the University which are strictly. adhered to, before candidates are admitted. Therefore, prospective candidates seeking admission into the University should not contact any person or group through Facebook or similar platforms for the purpose of securing admission. All such candidates seeking admission into the University’s Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programmes are advised to be wary of the activities of fraudsters and should always check details of any admission exercise via the University’s website www.unijos.edu.ng.
