Eid-el-Maulud Celebration: Nigerian Government Declares December 1 (Friday) As Public Holiday

THE Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Friday, December 1 as public holiday to mark the Eid-el-Maulud celebration. The Honourable Minister of Interior, Lt Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd.), who made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government, enjoined all Muslim faithful and Nigerians in general to cooperate and join hands with President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, as he works tirelessly to build a virile nation. He also urged all Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for peace, progress, and unity of the nation. The minister also called on all Nigerians to be patient and supportive of the present administration for the successful implementation of its laudable programmes. He wished all Nigerians a happy and peaceful Eid-el-Maulud celebration.
